    Not traditional Chinese food .

What is there NOT to like about Panda Express?

Decent Chinese fast food. Orange chicken is great, but the walnut shrimp is terrible. One word of warning: Do not get the Bejing Beef. That monster is 880 calories for 1 serving! Parking is pretty rough, but there are nearby areas to park at.

I Love Panda Express!!! Especially this area .. The only thing is the parking, I wish they had a drive thru. I love getting chow mein with either whitel rice or brown. I love their orange chicken!! Their Orange Chicken is a dish inspired by the Hunan Province in South Central China. It is prepared with crispy boneless chicken bites, tossed in the wok with our secret sweet and spicy orange sauce. Which I know you'll love. Panda Express offers gourmet Chinese food with signature tastes served in a fast casual environment. Panda's great food, great service, and great ambiance have won the hearts and stomach of everybody. Also NO MSG!!!

This is a decent Panda Express. There's another Panda joint inside USC campus, but I would give up the student discount and pay an extra dollar to eat here if I have time. Pros: Their decoration, both outside and inside, is inviting. The use of bright colors, clean tables, big screen TV..... make a cozy eating environment. The food is decent. Always warm and fresh. The meat entrees have appropriate amount of oil so the food is not too dry to eat. Service is okay. They will let you try samples of more expensive dishes. Cons: This restaurant is a bit small to handle the customer traffic. In peak hours the queue can literally take up the whole space of the aisle towards the door.

Really slow service. I come here often and the service is always the same. Food is standard to all other Panda restaurants. Generally very busy due to USC students and busy community.

A plate with fried rice and double coconut shrimp for me I don't mind the 1.25 extra charge X2 . The service was slightly disorganized and the armed guard was in the kitchen touching food. ...

Ok, so I know this is not authentic Chinese. But there are times when you want to eat something quick and easy and inexpensive. Panda Express serves up fast food Chinese with decent taste and large portions. I've been to several over the years, and I must say that this particular location has, by far, the friendliest staff and cleanest interior I've encountered. I understand that this place just underwent an interior remodel, and it shows. The decor is modern, clean, and inviting. It's conveniently located in 'restaurant row' at USC. parking - free lot

What is the point of ordering ahead of time if your food is never ready by the time you are arrive. The staff seems overwhelmed at times and like they don't care to be there. Which I don't blame them.

This Panda Express is a great option for a late night food option. It stays open later than all the other locations in the Greater Los Angeles area because it is located right next to USC. This location stays packed with students all day long, but the line moves along pretty efficiently. I have been here at many different times throughout the day and the line is never daunting because they whip though the orders very fast. Tonight, I still had a late night craving for some food, so I got here about a half hour before they were closing. The staff was still very friendly. They were sold out of two sides that I wanted, but that is to be expected late at night. The food was still warm, fresh, and tasty. In hindsight, the food has to be good to commit to a 6 mile drive after midnight. I was definitely satisfied!

On restaurant row by USC. Pretty consistent Chinese food. Good variety, no msg, free refills at fountain drink area, decent size dining room, patio sitting area with a small parking lot, it works. Usually get in and out pretty easy. They take phone in orders with reserved parking spaces. Good for a late night Chinese food fix.

I refuse to do business with a company who bribes college students in MASS to write Yelp reviews in exchange for a small taste of their food. They came to The Lorenzo and gave out free "meals" which didn't have much protein to them, but you could only have the food if you showed The Lorenzo staff your Yelp review of Panda Express BEFORE you even tasted it. I edited my previous review AFTER tasting it, because The Lorenzo staff would only let you have the food if you posted glowing reviews of it.

My review is based on the service provided: This location is always busy, located near USC it's understandable so waiting in line is not a big deal. The problem is when you finally get to order it seems like the staff is overwhelmed, they are literally just taking orders and rushing to get you to the cashier. Because of that orders are incomplete or they ask other people about other people's plates because they are so confused on who's turn it is. They are not organized and have no communication within the staff: 0 Stars for Service, 3 stars for food. Hopefully they improve.

  • Joe I.

I ordered the 3 entree plate with a side. I chose the mixed vegetables for the side along with the Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken. I paid with credit card and inhaled my meal in about 10 minutes. Food was good and the line was short at 10:30pm. The portions were quite small compared to say the Panda Express in Inglewood near LAX. I am actually docking them a star for that. Anyhow, it was a good place to stop before a concert at the Shrine.

  • Kassie B.

So it would have been 5 stars but I'll tell u why it isn't. I came here with my bf even though I promised myself not to come back here it's the first time back here since they closed to remodel this location, and I gotta say they out did themselves I live the remodeled loos it looks better than before but the thing that got me upset a bit was that not only did I had to wait in line for them to take my order,(it's not the line that was the problem) it was all due to the lady that took my order it looked like she was trying too hard to put on a smile she looked so eager for the customer to say what he wanted and to rush them by saying (anything else ?! What else would u like for your sides) I didn't even order the fried shrimp I like extra because she made me feel like I had to rush everything I mean I get it too they have too hurry to make sure the customers don't wait in line forever but I mean they have to understand too I the kind of customers that if I go to PE I have to see what in the other side of all the food available for me to get.... But in the end it was ok service my food was good the new seats make your booty even more comfortable and I can't complain a bout anything else P.s. Since they remodeled I kinda miss the old workers they seemed more peppy

I am a frequent customer of this location- not usually by choice. My boyfriend likes to drag me in here every weekend as it has become somewhat of a tradition for us. Literally every weekend. Anyways, we usually get to this location within 30 min to an hour of it opening (it opens at 10:30AM). We typically order the same thing. He's pretty partial to the orange chicken and white rice and will pour tumultuous amounts of teriyaki sauce over the chicken. Yep, three sides of it. -_- I am rating this location 2 stars. The reason is because there have been many occasions where we have showed up and they are simply not ready for business. Either the orange chicken isn't done cooking or the teriyaki sauce isn't done. Most times we've had to wait around for an extra 15 minutes after we've ordered. As someone who has worked in sales and customer service for years, I know how imperative it is to be 100% ready for the customer as soon as the doors open. I don't see the sense of urgency here. Aside from that, the food here is über delicious !

This place is slow as hell! I put in a family feast pick up order at 7:36pm on Tuesday night for 9:00pm that same night got there at 9:11 I asked the cashier for it I mean I THOUGHT they'd have it ready. Some lady named DEYCI asked for my last name then said they're barley going to put it in the boxes like ??? What is this sh*t. Then I ordered Beijing beef and she said they were out of it WTF!!! That's why I ordered it ahead of time so they'd have what the f*ck I asked for !!! Ended up getting my "pick up" order at 9:45 pm NEVER AM I GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!

  • Rose Athena W.

Orange chicken was the best I've had from any Panda Express! Loved the Chow Mein too!!! Plus they're open late night...ohh yay!!!

No place to park, very small and always crowded, dingy/dirty location, panhandlers & homeless ppl hanging outside, rude/cold servers & cashiers...if you must have Panda Express.....find another location.

  • Roderick H.

always give great service and lots of food. I love the well kept restaurant too. I am a USC student and love food. this is a great place to go if you love food. I went here for lunch the other day and dinner and it was greeeeaaaatttt man! fantastic! try their Beijing beef! the best in town I swear if you haven't been to panda! go

    (5)
  • K D.

The food at this location was fresh and hot during the date and time my friend and I went for lunch. The service for the most part was great. I say for the most part because, when we asked to sample, Maria (young lady behind the counter), had a huge attitude. It was an instant turn off! Her body language and facial expressions were horrible for a salesperson. It was bad enough to where the patrons behind us noticed and walked out of the restaurant as to avoid getteing helped by this young lady. Another member of the staff (Ruben) had to assist us after Maria bent down below the counter so that we couldn't or wouldn't ask her for anything else. It's safe to say that we won't be back to Panda Express! Panda Express needs to screen their staff better or have continous customer relations classes with them. Being rude won't get you return customers!!!

    (1)
  • Ellie P.

This Panda Express is always very busy with locals, usually there aren't USC students although a popular USC bar is next to it. The service is very quick though which is great! There is also a lot of free parking behind it

  • Patricia C.

I've been to many Panda Expresses and this location, by far, has one of the best people working behind the counter. Went here on several visits, and a few things are consistent: 1) The counter staffs are super generous. I asked for extra rice, they complied. One time, guy in front of me asked for three cups of teriyaki sauce with his 2-entree-and-side combo, and they put four. They cram your styrofoam/bowl/little solo entree box with food until the sauce drips from the sides. The hispanic ladies are the most generous tho! 2) There's usually a line of about 4-5 people. But no worries, it moves relatively fast. 3) More visitors = fresher food selection. Food you get here are warm and, most likely, newly cooked too. 4) Clean tables. There's a guy going around wiping tables after each use. 5) I really like the stacks of cut veggies in the fridge that is visible from the customer line. Fresh cut daily and stuff... Really good job at toning down the fast food chain vibe, guys. Conclusion: the staffs won my heart, and my five stars on Yelp.

    (5)
  • Chris G.

In addition to previous rating and review the change is due to the smaller trays they give you for food now. Very shallow which means even smaller portion sizes! Maybe they thought customers wouldn't notice, but I have

    (2)
  • Eddie C.

Never been to a panda that is this fuckin slow. All the workers look like they dont want to work. Slow and unhappy. There is a line that doesnt shrink. Cant go wrong on a fast food but this place... don't recommend unless they change their attitude. just by looking at them, not sure if I really want to eat the food they've prepared....

  • Roberto M.

Today Panda Express of Figueroa reminded me why is one of my favorite fast food restaurant! The staff was friendly, the food was warm, tasty and served quickly! Mmmm i am enjoying my late dinner!

    (5)
  • Tania R.

I used to go here often but then food quality, food selection and customer service started steadily going down AND I noticed the restaurant was starting to become not as clean. Today I was in the area and decided to stop in and there was unattended to vomit on the floor near the line where you order food. I mentioned it to the staff and was given a kind of "yeah we know" response. Vomit. On the floor. In a restaurant. NEVER again will I return to this location.

  • Manny L.

I've never had such a bad experience at a Panda Express before like I did today. There's no customer service in this place! From the people serving or from the cashiers, I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes to get my food for them to rush me out, when I got to pay for my food I didn't get a "hi how are you doing" from any of the cashiers there, they we're too busy talking among themselves to pay attention to the customers! Finally she told me my amount and when I asked her for soy sauce she said we don't have any, and the gentleman next to me said how is it that you don't have any soysauce when it's Panda Express she said " well idk I guess we run out of it" with a bad attitude! When I asked her for an extra fortune cookie she said she will charge me for it and didn't give it to me! So I asked her for extra hot sauce and her response was very rude "you want more hot sauce? I already gave you some check the bag"then she gave me a receipt that was ripped . Really? This kind of service kills my appetite and makes Panda Express corporation look really bad considering they started in California.

Perfect location and food after you are done partying at the row ;) Service is really quick and the food is good, typical Panda Express. Now that there is a Panda at the USC Campus Center I don't hit this place up as much but it's still nice to have it on Fig as a back up. Lots of seating inside and gets crowded as it's a popular late night food place.

    (4)
  • Patrick S.

they start putting away their food before they close. beat.

  • Salvador M.

This Panda express has never failed me. I'm glad this one is right by USC. I love to go there right after a hard day at work or after I had finished my studying and need a quick bite before going to bed. Parking may be a hassle but who cares there's parking everywhere else. I just wanted to thank all the staff for being on point with their stuff and to always have their stuff ready, at least that's what I find when I go there.

    (5)
  • David M.

Always enjoye my visitsdcec at the Panda express on Figueroa. The place is always pack , staff are friendly and the food taste right temp and the right portion! But today they ruin my dinner the fry rice tasted awful, it was cold and the texture was doughy and dry. The rest of my entries were almost cold. When I brought the issue to the staff they laugh and joke about not realizing how bad I had felt about my dinner. They game an order or chow mein. The most disgusting was that they kept selling the rice to the drunk students from USC without any regards to maintaining the quality and reputation of Panda!

    (1)
  • Ann H.

To pricy for small quantities . Rather get the real Chinese food for less. Sorry panda

Use to love this place but there portions have been reduced and they are charging more. Horrible how things change

    (1)
  • Karen M.

I usually come here because it's the closes Panda Express to my house but they are always busy and understaffed. Also their employees are pretty rude and always count the pieces that they out in your plate. I love Panda Express but this one is an exception

    (2)
  • Liz D.

Just like any other Panda Express this one has nothing exiting. I am a frequent customer of this location because it is very close to my office. Depending on the time that you come in, you'll sometimes have to wait in line. My recent visit wasn't so nice :( I usually order the panda bowl (brown rice and chow mien) The lady filled up the bowl with rice and a tiny bit of chow mien! WHY???? I asked if she could put more chow mien, her response " standard rule, that's how we do it" I'm not quite sure what she meant by that. It made no sense to me. After i gave her a crazy look she dumped some rice out and gave me more chow mien. HOORAY! Before i got to the register another girl asked me what item i wanted, "uuuh more food?!?! Sure why not" I asked for something pepper chicken. I was only charged $5! AWESOME!! College life sucks! Ballin on a budget * All panda food has the same flavor to me so I guess it was okay * Parking is ALWAYS a drag, i suggest you park away from their actual "lot" and just walk! The spaces are super small! You have to take two in order to fit, not only that, good luck trying to get out of the car. Aside from dealing withe the stingy lady, all the other staff members are very friendly and awesome. Many of the reviews are based on the cleanliness of the store, and here is my input on that. People like to bring their little sh*ts and not care for them. During my visit i witnessed some kids throwing rice at each other! Where the f**k are the parents? Its not the location that's dirty, its the people that make it dirty! Picking up your thrash goes a long way my friends!

  • Blair F.

This is an average Panda. Good food, good service, always some where to sit. All I can ask for.

    (4)
  • Doug M.

more trouble than it's worth. more often than not, there's no parking. When there IS parking, there's usually a 10-20 minute line, When the line is shorter, service slows down to make sure you still have a 10-20 minute wait to be served. When you finally do get to front of line, and ask for samples, they think you placed an order and ask if you want chou mein or fried rice - when you haven't even placed an order - making you have to repeat your request in hopes that someone will listen the second time around. And the reason you have to ask for samples first is because quality is so inconsistent. Their orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp is soggy and mushy about 65% of the time. I used to think it was impossible to screw up beef broccoli, but this last time it was a flavorless mess. There are many good Pande Express locations, but this definitely is NOT one of them.

    (1)
  • Diana K.

I love their orange chicken and the beef was so delicious. without any doubts this is the most delicious but unhealthy food in the world!

    (4)
  • Sevan I.

I go here often since its right next to work and always get their steamed brown rice which is my favorite. Pros: - Nice selection of food (love the steamed brown rice), generally always fresh. - Price is not bad either. Cons: - There have been quiet a few occasions where they run out of food and you have to wait almost 5 mins which I rarely do to get it freshly made. Their portions are also small; it's like they are afraid to fill up the plate. Jesus I am not on a diet. - It's in a very crowded area so try to avoid going there until past 1 PM when the crowd dies down for lunch hour. - Generally pretty loud noise level.

    (3)
  • Janelle G.

I like this Panda because it's open late! SCORE!!! The food seems to always be fresh and oh so delish! It is ALWAYS jam packed though which is understandable being in the area where it is located. The reason for 4 stars...The employees here could use some customer service skills....they always seem in a bad mood. And I understand they're trying to work fast for faster service, but don't get mad if I can't make a choice right away! Maybe I want orange chicken...no wait...maybe I want the broccoli and beef...you know what, I think I'll get the teriyaki chicken instead. Not that I do that to them but even if I did, don't roll your eyes at me and toss my plate to the side and say "next." That's just rude! Oh, one more thing...parking sucks here.

    (4)
  • Alexsander C.

If I could give then a zero I would. Horrible service from the moment you walk in. Slow service slow slow slow slow slow. I can't emphasise it enough. They are over-staffed and aren't good at moving the line. On top of that they rip you off with the amount of food they give you. I don't recommend it.

    (1)
  • Jesse G.

The food is basically what you expect from a fast food Chinese restaurant. The one thing I didn't like from this location is that there's always someone trying to fight inside or outside the restaurant....

    (4)
  • Jim A.

Too embarrassed to have eaten here since its not real Chinese. My chinese friends must not know i have eaten here even it it was by no choice of my own. Panda express? yeah its express as in fast food so what do you expect. You can get a great chinese meal for the same price in chinatown or monterey park/alhambra. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

    (1)
  • Katherine H.

I'm hardly ever in this area anymore and I hadn't had Panda Express in years so I thought why not? I ordered the Sweet Fire Chicken over the Brown fried Rice. I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken wasn't dry but my favorite was definitely the fried brown rice. The quality and quantity of food for the price was definitely a plus.

    (4)
  • Jeff K.

When the Panda Express on campus is closed, this is my alternative. I think signs say it's open until 2:30 but i've been by at 4 AM and it's been open so it might be 24 hours. Also, down the street is Fraternity/Sorority Row where debauchery lurks. Beware!

    (3)
  • Jo H.

my biggest reason for this review is just because they don't have potstickers. what kind of panda express doesn't have potstickers? other than that, it's the traditional panda food, but don't come here if you are potstickers fan. don't understand why they don't have them but it is a big problem in my opinion because this is my local panda option. once they fix that, i'd be happy to give them a decent rating

    (1)
  • Mary L.

In LA, there is such a large population and a busy place doesn't always mean good food. This location is packed but there is a reason. It's good. Although American Chinese food is not very authentic, but I can see why it's popular. It tastes really good if it is fresh, the sauces are just enough, and the ingredients are not almost rotting. Because there is such a demand here, the food tastes fresh. This is why Panda is a chain. It can pass for Chinese food if you get a real hankering and don't want to venture to chinatown.

    (3)
  • Richard M.

First, they give a small amount of food compared to other panda express. Second, food did not taste fresh .

    (1)
  • kathy i.

I come here maybe once a month just to satisfy my craving for Kung Pao chicken. I try to limit my visit to just that - once a month. The food is not all bad. I don't eat anything else there but my safe choice of rice, kung pao chicken and orange chicken. I just can't stand the parking lot and the insane crowd that forms after a certain time. Huge crowd means someone is taste testing and that pisses me off. Or someone has brought their whole entire family to the joint and one person is ordering for the entire clan. My Only complaint is they tear down that tiny parking lot and make it bigger. That is all I want.

    (3)
  • Ivan L.

Its Panda, went here around 9pm and it was pretty crowded, people probably stopping by before going home from work. Speedy service! Parking can suck in the back. I sometimes just park at the McDonald's lot next door.

    (3)
  • Rain F.

So I'm not really a fan of fastfood anymore. I'd rather make my own food now. But orange chicken is one of those dishes that I've yet to learn and often crave. I finally cave in and just got some from here. It was ok and met my expectation of fastfood. I also tried the sweet fire chicken and liked it. The Beijing beef was good too. I didn't like what the fortune cookie told me though :P

    (3)
  • Courtney W.

Constantly asking if you want to buy extra things. Barely listen to your order. It's sort of chaotic there, but a typical panda. For VERY annoyed with every employee asking us if we wanted extra this or extra that for whatever extra charge...

    (3)
  • Mark R.

One of my favorite Panda Expresses, the way you get your food is fast and you can see them making it in front of your face. I really like this place you can eat inside and outside. I just only wish they would stop using Brown Rice.

    (4)
  • The Bloodprince X.

Running out of food when it's not busy or smaller portion sizes... still, I enjoy the food.

    (4)
  • Dr K.

Why I like this location: -Because they are generally fast -You can get both alumni and student discount (YEAH 18% off!), so it's cheaper than any other panda express. -They take credit cards Generally, their service is good. But when I go at night (inbetween classes around 7pm) they generally are out of things: food dishes, fortune cookies, chopsticks. You can't got wrong with orange chicken (unless you are against fried food). Generally a bowl is more than enough for one meal. And remember you can get half and half (veggies, noodle or rice).

    (3)
  • Vilma A.

Always a great stop when i get the munchies! Love their orange chicken! Service is great too. Never complained - well besides the parking being too small.

    (4)
  • Hongming L.

Good, but far away from best...

    (2)
  • dominique m.

Can be crowded because its near usc so the kids tend to be here alot... the food is good service is fast at times... this is my 3rd visit and i have not too many complaints..

    (4)
  • Thomas C.

I had a really good experience here. Food looked freshly prepared (and I went in around 3:30 PM, not exactly a rush period) and very appetizing. Service was good, and the food itself was just what I expected. My only gripe was that it was really hot, but it was 90 degrees outside so I don't hold them responsible (especially with that kitchen).

    (5)
  • Katherine B.

I love this Panda Express. Their food is good and they always support fundraisers for USC student organizations!

    (4)
  • Butter M.

like the hours and reasonable food and price

    (5)
  • Ocee D.

3 Stars I hate eating "mall food" when I don't have to, but before night class I've picked up Beijing Beef a few times. Service is always really friendly, food's been decent, and they've got packages of chili paste/sauce to add some heat.

    (3)
  • Nicole D.

So this hot spot is a must for all the USC students that need a dinner fix. this place is always overly crowded, but i must say, because people are always coming in and out, the food is always hot and fresh. the place is clean, the service are either older adults that sadly cant find better jobs or teenagers hating life. prices are a tad higher then other pandas but its still reasonable for cheap non-authentic Chinese fix. the cooks are never not Asian, but what else do you expect from a fast food chain. Also good luck in finding a parking spot, the place is always full, so there are never any spots open, and its so cramped that only one car at a time can enter and exit....lame-o lots of tables though, and you can get unlimited refills on your drink bc its an outside fountain, and there is also outside sitting, which is nice when you don't want to be eating with someone's arm in your face while their in line for food. enjoy, tee hee.

  • WillIam S.

At times, the wait in this particular store can be gruesome , but the late hours of operations makes up for it.

    (4)
  • Jennifer R.

Simply the best Panda Express in the LA area, to me The food is always hot and fresh. None of that left over, almost gone stuff. Its usually pretty packed but that's to be expected considering we are in the USC district!

    (4)
  • Ruth C.

Cops around here loved this joint. Seriously uncanny, 2-4 cops chowing down per visit. But the staff looks more like Carlos Mencia than like me, if you get my gist. Fast food Chinese made by local South-Central residents? No thank you. Stale lo mein doesn't do it for me, sorry.

    (2)
  • Chris D.

Nothing special...place was clean and food was good.

    (3)
  • Tony G.

It was 1am and I was craving chinese fast food. But in my area, all the places close at 9:30pm :( So i remember my friend Ken said that all the places near USC are open till like 2am if not 24hours. So i make the treck to downtown and then down figueroa. And sure enough, theres all these places that are open!! So i pull into panda express and order. The only problem I had is that they only had chowmein available no rice. But it's cool. This panda express is the same as all the others i've visited. Same taste, same textures, same small portions BUT when you're craving some chinese food at 1am, it's amazing. If you're a night owl or insomniac like myself and get that late night hunger attack, head down figueroa towards USC and take your pick of the many late night open restaurants.

    (3)
  • LovLeigh L.

Panda's always good. This one's s bit small for volume of customers but really don't have any other complaints.

    (4)

It's not that the food is bad - it's not. It's actually pretty good despite being MSG-y and salty and blah blah blah... it's just the people, the parking lot, the location, and the lines! I've never seen such an insane line for chinese food! :O even faux chinese food! Crazy! Probably won't come back here again.

I really really had no idea that this Panda Express is the best Panda ever. It has so many items. I went to a Panda in Glendale and only had like 7-8 dishes to choose from. Here there's like a billion! And it's open late. Even though once I went there at 1:30 am and it was closed and my friend and I were so sad and we had to go to Del Taco which made me sadder. :( But don't forget. If you don't want to spend a lot of money at a Panda, buy a kid's meal. It's way cheaper. But you only get ONE item and the portions are reaally small. So don't do it if you're super hungry :)

Their portions are big but their chow mein or fried rice's ratio to REAL FOOD is like 10:1. That is a typical chinese restaurant trick.Pack on the rice and stinge on the dishes. It's not cheap to, for that! The servers are mighty rude, unless you are Latino. Nice interior refurbishment does not make up for lack of food, mountains of rice and rude servers. AVOID PANDA EXPRESS! Find nice people to cook you a meal instead, otherwise even those less Disneyland looking Chinese restaurants would be better!

Better than your average panda express franchise store, conveniently located, kind workers, cheaper prices, more food. Nothing more you can of a panda express :)

Panda-whore extraordinaire... that's should be my caption. I, the wife included, come here at least...2 maybe 3 times a week...embarassing but true. Do we care? No. The staff is SO amazing. Good size portions are given. ORANGE CHICKEN!!!!!! THIS Panda Express AND ONLY this Panda Express is THE BEST PLACE FOR ORANGE CHICKEN! Bar none! Many other restaurants have their food sides not so fresh, possibly because not a lot of people go there. So you'll be eating mandarin chicken and fried rice that has been sitting there for 4 maybe 5 hours. Whereas here, the food is constantly rotated, i'd say at least 2-3 times an hour, due to such a high number of customers (thank you USC Alumni!!). Next time you're around USC, drop in for some good, fresh food. You won't be dissapointed!

Pretty good comparatively. Fast service, always packed. Orange chicken is outstanding (of course). Parking lot is comically cramped and staff can sometimes be a little slow.

You get exactly what you expect with Panda--pretty greasy fake Chinese food that is still somehow absolutely delicious. Personally I skip the rice and go for half chow mein/half mixed veggies. And the must for Panda is always the orange chicken. But regardless of the food, you can't beat the hours on this place. The only thing that sucks is, though they normally have a diverse selection of entrees, when it gets late they close one side of the buffet and have fewer options.

Alright. Pretty fresh. Decent portions and size. Steamed vegetables as a side option instead of fried rice/chow mein. Some Pandas are better than others. This one's better.

This place is for people who don't want to cook or for those who are on the run. Don't expect anything gourmet from this place. This place is like McDonald's of Chinese food. It's not cook to order; this is a fast food place. Plenty of USC students come and eat here. Another mediocre place to eat.

Parking sucks, but if you want Americanized chinese food this is the place to go. A lot of USC students come here to eat.

Why do I go to Panda Express with old school Chinatown near by? Have I succumb to corporate branding and packaging machine? Have I gotten past the point where convenience trumps taste? Has my secret guilty pleasure of value meals and super-size me crossed over to Chinese food and Taco Bell is next for Mexican food cravings? I'll think about these difficult questions while I enjoy my 2 item combo plate of Broccoli Beef /Orange Chicken and of course half/half of rice and chow mein.

Other than the parking lot, which is an absolute mess (try parking in the McDonald's lot instead), and long line to order, this is one of the best Panda Expresses that I've been to. The staff is always friendly and they're very fast. Because they do so much business, the food is always very hot and fresh, especially the orange chicken (which, let's face it, is the only reason why most of us go to this Americanized Chinese, million calorie fast food place at all). So when I can't make it elsewhere for some good, authentic Chinese take-out, this Panda's always a reliable, fast, and tasty meal.

"Ching chong, ching chong, ching chong, Robert DiNiro, ching chong, ching chong, The View" thats what goes through my head whenever I come here and get my orange chicken and beef & broccoli with steamed rice. oh and the workers are so great! "HOW are you?" "WANT to try a SAMPLE?" I'm asian, of course I want to try a sample!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
